| Mit EinfĂ "hrung der Reformation 1568 wurden im FĂ "rstentum Braunschweig-WolfenbĂ "ttel evangelische Klosterschulen erĂ ¶ffnet. Ihnen wurde aufgetragen, begabte Jungen auf Ă mter in Kirchen und weltlichen Diensten vorzubereiten. Mittels einer vergleichenden Perspektive werden diese Einrichtungen erstmals umfassend analysiert. Die Untersuchung widmet sich der Administration auf landesherrlicher Ebene sowie vor Ort durch lokale und zentrale AmtstrĂ ¤ger. Zudem werden die Situation der Lehrer und Stipendiaten in den Klosterschulen sowie die Lehrinhalte und Unterrichtsgestaltung betrachtet. Aufbauend auf der Prosopografie Ă "berprĂ "ft die kollektivbiografische Auswertung der Lehrer und Stipendiaten, inwiefern die Einrichtungen ihren Auftrag erfĂ "llten und zur Bildungselite des FĂ "rstentums beitrugen.In 1568 with the introduction of the Reformation, Protestant monastery schools opened in the Principality of Braunschweig-WolfenbĂ "ttel. They should prepare talented boys for church and secular ministry. By means of a comparative perspective, these schools are being comprehensively analysed for the first time. The investigation focuses the administration by local and central officials at sovereign level and on site. In addition, the situation of the teachers and scholars in the monastery schools as well as the teaching contents and the formation of the lessons are considered. Based on the prosopography, the collective biographical evaluation of the teachers and scholars examines, in which way these schools fulfilled their mission and contributed to the educated elite of the Principality. |
