| Thema dieses Bandes ist das à ¶sterreichische Wundarztwesen, das à "ber viele Jahrhunderte eine feste Rolle in der Gesellschaft hatte. Wundà ¤rzte wurden bis 1873 ausgebildet. Sie legten den Grundstein fà "r ihr Arbeitsleben mit dem Eintritt in eine Lehre bei einem niedergelassenen Meister. Gesellen konnten ihre Ausbildung an einer medizinisch-chirurgischen Lehranstalt fortsetzen. Beim Abschluss erhielten sie ein wundà ¤rztliches Diplom und durften Patienten mit à ¤uà Ÿerlichen Beschwerden behandeln. Im vorliegenden Werk werden die damaligen Gegebenheiten anhand von zahlreichen Quellen aufgearbeitet. Das Ergebnis ist ein Abbild des damaligen Schul- und Ausbildungssystems fà "r angehende Wundà ¤rzte und ihrer Arbeitsbedingungen.The aim of the present volume is an analysis and a presentation of the Austrian surgery system from the end of the 18th century until 1873. In this time the surgeons, who received their formation in apprenticeships, had an important role in the Austrian sanitary system. After finishing the apprenticeship, the surgeons had the possibility to attend special medical-surgery schools to continue their formation. The sources of the study are spread in various archives of the University and other institutions. The results of the research are used to analyze the development of the profession of the Austrian surgeons, to show their formation and their work. |
