| Landscapes are often perceived as romantic - and cities? The urban space is an equally important place for updating ideas and aesthetic strategies of historical romanticism. The volume shows how romantic models were formed in city designs, city perceptions and city appropriations. Even if the great importance of experiencing nature in Romanticism remains undisputed, it can be shown that in addition to nature and landscape, the city is also an important area for updating Romantic forms.
