| Tara L. C. Sood is a French-Indian photographer and filmmaker based between London, Paris, and India. Her work, primarily focused on people, often blurs the boundaries between staged imagery and documentary while embracing a distinctly cinematic perspective. Favouring hand-printed analogue photographs produced in the darkroom, archival materials, and a rich colour palette informed by her Indian heritage, her personal practice seeks to offer new ways of understanding the past and moving beyond its stereotypes. Tara is the second recipient of Belmondā s photographic residency. She was invited to undertake a carte blanche project in Sicily at the prestigious Villa Santā Andrea. |
