| Social behaviour has broad implications for the survival and reproduction of an organism. Social behaviours often reflect rather complex mechanisms. Through a variety of interactions, individuals establish social relationships (dominant/subordinate, friend/foe, potential mate/mating partner, kin/non-kin).
